Declutter for Spring!

March 20th marks the first day of Spring, a traditional time to tidy up and make a fresh, clean start after a dreary winter. The concept of culling and organizing can be overwhelming to many people, but the benefits are well worth the effort.

Below are just 5 benefits to decluttering your home:

1. SPACE

By removing excess belongings that are no longer needed you create more space to highlight the things you love and also to do activities that bring you joy. In a closet, it means trading overstuffed drawers for tidy ones where you can easily find the clothes that make you feel good. In your living room, it can mean ditching a bulky old chair to create space to practice yoga.

2. TIME

In today’s world, many of us never seem to have enough time to do the things we love. By decluttering your space, you create time by eliminating the time you waste trying to find things (i.e. car keys), by reducing the amount of possessions you have to tidy up, and by using what you have instead of constantly buying more.

3. MONEY

When you declutter, you’ll likely make money by selling or consigning unwanted items. When you trade chaos for organization, you’ll save because you’ll stop buying duplicates of things you’ve misplaced and you’ll start making purchases more thoughtfully, buying only those things that fit into your ideal space.

4. JOY

You’ll discover happiness when you’re enjoying your favourite belongings more and stressing less about the clutter in your home. Decluttering often involves giving belongings to charity, which will also make you feel great.

5. FOCUS

Decluttering has been linked to both better physical and mental health because it allows us to focus on what is important to us as individuals. By understanding your space and belongings, you become more aware of the things that bring you joy. This can lead some to realize the need for career changes and motivate others to make healthier food choices.

These 5 benefits can all be unlocked to anyone that works towards creating an organized space. Book your first session NOW by emailing ClutterLessLivingNow@gmail.com.
